Fulham Salvages Draw Against Liverpool with Reed’s Stunning Late Goal

Harrison Reed’s stunning strike in the 97th minute secured Fulham a thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Sunday. The match saw intense moments, especially as Cody Gakpo appeared to have clinched a late victory for the visitors in stoppage time.

The scoring opened in the 17th minute when Harry Wilson, a product of Liverpool’s youth system, capitalized on a precise pass from Raul Jimenez. Although Wilson’s initial goal was ruled out for offside, a VAR review overturned the decision, allowing Fulham to take the lead.

Liverpool equalized in the second half as Florian Wirtz showcased his finishing skills, netting a goal in the 57th minute. The visitors seemed poised for victory when Gakpo found the back of the net in the 94th minute, but Reed’s equalizer just moments later ensured the game ended on level terms.

With this result, Liverpool remains unbeaten in their last eight league matches and nine across all competitions, positioning themselves fourth in the Premier League with 34 points from 20 games. Fulham, on the other hand, sits in 11th place with a total of 28 points.
