Gaughan’s Leadership Fuels Victory for Pro-Am Series Quartet on JGE’s Course

The Lincoln Pro-Am Series recently held an exciting event at the Earth Course in Jumeirah Golf Estates, featuring amateur and professional golfers competing in a spirited atmosphere. A total of 96 players participated, benefiting from favorable scoring conditions that made for an engaging contest.

Utilizing the Best Two-from-Four Stableford format, the tournament resulted in competitive showdowns across both the team and individual leaderboards. The standout team of Louis Gaughan, Mark Thompson-Royds, Alan Dobbins, and Michael Samuel emerged victorious, accumulating an impressive 87 points thanks to their consistent performance and strategic play, particularly on the back nine.

Trailing closely behind, the team comprising Stephen Malone, Stephen Louis, Moustafa Shahin, and Eric Shehadeh secured the runner-up position with 84 points. Their balanced efforts throughout the day highlighted their strong teamwork on the course. In third place, the quartet of Charles Morra, Ayaan Khan, Alexander Sales, and Sebastian Sales claimed the position with 81 points, winning the countback against competing teams that finished with the same score.

In the professional individual strokeplay, Jackson Bell from Scotland shone with a standout round of four-under 68. His precise ball striking and effective approach play positioned him atop the professional leaderboard. Stephen Malone demonstrated his excellent form with a one-under 71, placing second, while a trio of players consisting of Tom Hanson, Charles Morra, and David Gray rounded out the top three, each finishing at two-over 74.

Aside from the team and professional competitions, the day also featured skills challenges. Gary Knowles captured the prize for the Straightest Drive on the 7th hole, while Tanya Harrison made a brilliant iron shot to win Nearest the Pin on the 17th.

The latest edition of the Lincoln Pro-Am Series not only emphasized competitive spirit and achievements but also displayed the enthusiasm and commitment of the UAE golf community. With a strong turnout and remarkable performances, the event reinforced the reputation of the Earth Course as one of the region’s premier golfing venues.
