Golf This Week: Exciting Action Unfolds Across All Tours Worldwide

Veteran Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah recently expressed his disappointment over being disinvited from an event at Mumbai University. In a candid opinion piece published in The Indian Express, he described the experience as both insulting and perplexing, particularly since he had been looking forward to engaging with students.

The event in question, organized by the university’s Urdu department for February 1, was something Shah had eagerly anticipated. However, he was informed late on January 31 that he no longer needed to attend. This unexpected cancellation left him feeling slighted, especially since no reason or apology was provided.

In his article, Shah pointed out that the university inaccurately informed the audience that he had chosen not to attend. He criticized this false narrative, suggesting that the institution lacked the courage to openly explain the real reason behind his disinvitation. According to him, a senior university official allegedly claimed that Shah “openly makes statements against the country.” In response, the actor challenged this official to provide evidence of any such statements he has made.

Known for his performances in critically acclaimed films like Nishant, Aakrosh, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Masoom, and Sparsh, Naseeruddin Shah continues to be an influential figure in Indian cinema. Audiences can expect to see him in the upcoming film Assi, which features a talented ensemble cast including Taapsee Pannu, Kani Kusruti, and Revathy. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Assi is slated for a theatrical release on February 20.

Additionally, Shah is set to appear in a new film directed by Imtiaz Ali, where he will share screen space with Diljit Dosanjh and Sharvari. This movie is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12, further showcasing the veteran actor’s enduring presence in the film industry.
