Singer-composer Amaal Mallik recently addressed concerns from fans regarding Arijit Singh’s decision to step back from playback singing. In a candid interview, Amaal emphasized that while Arijit may take a break from film music, his artistic journey is anything but over.

Amaal praised Arijit’s impressive body of work, revealing that nearly a hundred unreleased songs recorded over the last four years are set to be released. He acknowledged the disappointment among artists regarding Arijit’s decision but reassured fans that this move is not an end, stating that Arijit is exploring music alongside notable figures like Anoushka Shankar. Amaal noted, “Film may be removed, but the man is still alive,” highlighting Arijit’s ongoing creativity and passion for music.

The bond between Arijit and Amaal’s younger brother, Armaan Malik, was also a focal point in the discussion. Amaal described their relationship with pride, indicating that Armaan stands shoulder to shoulder with Arijit during performances. He remarked on the growth of both artists, stating, “What a relationship they have. It’s incredible to see my brother grow alongside one of the biggest voices in India today.”

Reflecting on their collaborative history, Amaal noted that he and Arijit have produced numerous hit songs together, ranging from romantic ballads to upbeat tracks. Their successful collaborations include the chart-toppers “Sooraj Dooba Hain” from Roy (2015), “Soch Na Sake” from Airlift (2016), and the emotional “Tu Mila To Haina” from De De Pyaar De (2019). Beyond film music, their partnership extends to non-film tracks such as “Chal Wahan Jaate Hain,” showcasing their versatile creativity.

In the same interview, Amaal shared insights from his personal growth journey, particularly following his time on Bigg Boss 19. He stated that participating in the reality show has helped him eliminate negative influences and strengthen his family ties. Looking to the future, Amaal assured fans that Arijit has many projects in progress. Arijit himself hinted at exciting developments on social media, promising fans new music experiences throughout 2026.
