Popular Odia singer Humane Sagar has tragically passed away at the age of 36. His death on Monday evening followed a brief but severe health crisis, during which he was hospitalized at AIIMS Bhubaneswar just days earlier. Initially admitted with serious complications, Sagar remained on life support but did not recover.
According to a statement from Dr. Srikant Behera, Sagar was diagnosed with multiple serious conditions, including bilateral pneumonia, acute chronic liver failure, severe heart dysfunction, and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome. Despite intensive medical intervention, the singer’s health continued to decline, leading to his death around 9:08 PM on November 17, 2025.
Sagar’s passing has elicited an outpouring of condolences from leaders across Odisha. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi expressed profound sadness, describing the loss as irreparable to the music and cinema landscape of the region. He extended his sympathies to Sagar’s family, emphasizing the impact the artist had on the cultural scene.
