Jack Davidson Aims for a Strong Finish on the MENA Golf Tour

Fresh off a recent triumph in Egypt, golfer Jack Davidson is feeling optimistic about the direction of his game. As he aims for a strong finish to the MENA Golf Tour season, the 29-year-old Welsh professional is determined to build on the momentum from his latest victory.

Davidson’s win at Address Marassi Golf Club, where he posted impressive scores of 71, 63, and 68, propelled him to third place on the Order of Merit. This play-off victory marked not just another addition to his record but also a much-needed reset in what has been a challenging career phase.

Having turned professional in 2017, Davidson quickly garnered attention with his consistent performance, including several top-five finishes on the EuroPro Tour. His journey continued with success in the HotelPlanner Tour in 2023 and a commendable 11th place at the DP World Tour Qualifying School, which secured him a card for the 2024 DP World Tour.

Despite competing in 19 events that season, including notable performances in Qatar and Munich, he struggled to retain full playing privileges. The following year on the HotelPlanner Tour introduced new challenges, prompting him to reevaluate his strategies both on and off the course.

To turn things around, Davidson reconnected with his original coach, the Wales National Coach, and incorporated a psychologist and trainer into his team. This restructuring has provided more clarity and structure to his training regimen.

Davidson views his move to Abu Dhabi with his girlfriend as a fresh start. “This relocation has been vital for my game and career, aligning perfectly with my successes on the MENA Golf Tour,” he remarked. He highlighted the tour’s valuable support for players and its high prize purse of $100,000 per event, which has positively impacted many athletes, including him.

Settling in the UAE has also allowed Davidson to secure a Golden Visa, providing him with a stable base for his golfing pursuits. The golfer expressed satisfaction with the climate and facilities that Abu Dhabi offers, stating, “I can properly base myself here now and connect with the golf community.”

His decision to choose Abu Dhabi as his home has already begun to influence his routine and mindset positively. Davidson appreciates the vibrant atmosphere of the city and has formed genuine friendships since moving there.

With the confidence garnered from his recent victory, he is focused on maintaining his form throughout the remaining MENA Golf Tour events. Davidson aims to leverage this platform for further opportunities, especially seeking invitations to compete in events on the HotelPlanner Tour.

As the season progresses, he is determined to evaluate his progress. The MENA Golf Tour season will conclude with the Al Ain Championship, taking place from March 30 to April 1, 2026. Davidson has expressed gratitude toward local golf organizations for their continued support since his relocation.

Having regained his winning touch, Davidson’s current trajectory suggests he is finding his rhythm at an opportune time. With a revitalized approach, a strong support team, and increasing momentum in the MENA Golf Tour, he is well-positioned to advance his career in the professional golfing ranks.
