Kohli’s Stellar Performance Guides Bengaluru to IPL’s Top Position

The Malayalam film industry has once again impressed audiences with its latest release, “Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros.” Directed by Savin SA in his debut project, the film has achieved remarkable success at the box office without relying on big names. Within just 16 days of its release, “Vaazha 2” has surpassed the ₹100 crore milestone in Kerala.

In its opening week, the film gained substantial momentum, fueled by favorable reviews and enthusiastic word-of-mouth among younger viewers. It collected ₹55 crore in the first week alone, and according to Sacnilk, it raked in an additional ₹2.50 crore on day 17, elevating its total box office earnings to ₹101.85 crore. The film also crossed the ₹100 crore mark globally in its first week and is now approaching the ₹200 crore benchmark.

Writer Vipin Das took to Instagram to express gratitude to fans for this achievement. He noted that “Vaazha 2” is the fastest Malayalam film to reach the ₹100 crore milestone in Kerala, eclipsing previous records held by “Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra” and “Thudarum,” which took 24 and 19 days, respectively, to hit the same mark.

“Vaazha 2” revolves around the lives of four friends—Hashir, Alan, Ajin, and Vinayak—who face societal and academic pressures alongside family expectations. The narrative delves into their transition from school to adulthood, highlighting male friendships and their role in self-discovery. The cast includes newcomers Hashir H., Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak V., alongside well-known actors such as Vijay Babu and Aju Varghese in supporting roles. This film serves as a sequel to the earlier release, “Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys” from 2024.

Following the success of “Vaazha 2,” the filmmakers have announced plans for “Vaazha 3,” which is expected to feature an all-female lead cast. In a statement, Vipin Das emphasized the franchise’s growth and commitment to nurturing fresh talent within the industry. He expressed appreciation for the love shown by fans and articulated a vision for continuing this unique legacy with future installments.
