Major Setback for Australia as Hazlewood Excluded from WTC Final Against India

The unexpected passing of travel influencer Anunay Sood has deeply affected the YouTube community. Sood, who was only 32, died on November 6, 2025. His family and friends confirmed the tragic news through an official statement, which has left many in shock. Among those closely affected by his absence is fellow influencer Apoorva Mukhija, known as The Rebel Kid, with whom Anunay shared a strong friendship.

Rumors of trouble in their friendship began circulating earlier this year. In February 2025, Apoorva faced severe backlash for comments made during an appearance on Samay Raina’s show, India Got Latent (IGL). His subsequent participation in Netflix’s The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar, kept him in the public eye. Following Anunay’s death, discussions have intensified about their once close friendship and the potential fallout they experienced.

Anunay Sood and Apoorva Mukhija were known for their close connection and collaborative spirit. Their travel-themed content, featuring lively reels and vlogs, showed off their natural chemistry. Destinations such as Bali and vibrant Garba nights in Gujarat showcased their shared enthusiasm for adventure and friendship. Fans particularly enjoyed a viral video titled “That one couple who refuses to admit that they are a couple,” which led to speculation about a romantic relationship. Both influencers later clarified that they were just friends, with Apoorva previously dating Utsav Dahiya and Anunay being in a relationship with Shivani Parihar.

However, things began to unravel after a promotional cruise trip, during which the duo reportedly behaved poorly, leading to complaints from fellow passengers. Anunay further ignited criticism by posting a vlog where he was seen taking items from a café, a move perceived by viewers as “stealing for humor.” Despite the backlash and deleting the video, he maintained that his content was acceptable. Subsequently, fans observed a marked change in their social media interactions, as Anunay and Apoorva stopped tagging one another and unfollowed each other.

The final breakdown in their friendship appeared to happen in August 2025 after Utsav Dahiya released a song titled Cute Little Red Flags, in which he accused Apoorva of infidelity and manipulative behavior. Anunay’s like on the post implied support for Utsav, further emphasizing the distance growing between him and Apoorva.

The announcement of Anunay Sood’s death was made by his family and friends on social media, where they expressed their devastation over the loss. They requested privacy during this difficult time, urging followers to respect their space while remembering Anunay fondly.

The heartfelt statement shared on Anunay’s Instagram read: “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing. We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy as we navigate this difficult time. Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace.”

The community mourns the loss of Anunay, extending condolences to his family and friends, who are now left to remember the impact of his life and career.
