Maksym Krippa heads UESF: what transformation to expect

The Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) has announced a change of leadership: Ukrainian businessman Maksym Krippa has become the organization’s new president. He is known as the owner of NAVI, co-owner of Maincast, and the owner of the legendary GSC Game World studio. This decision marks the beginning of a new stage in the history of the UESF, which is responsible for the formation of the national team and represents the country on the international esports scene.

In a commentary for Forbes Ukraine, Maksym Krippa emphasized that the Federation is currently undergoing a deep reform. Its goal is to significantly improve management processes and intensify international cooperation. According to the new president, the renewal of the UESF structure is a necessary step to bring Ukrainian esports to a qualitatively new level.

Krippa’s appointment demonstrates the organization’s intention to significantly strengthen its position both in Ukraine and abroad. The nearest plans include a large-scale renewal of the structure and activities of the Federation.

The key priorities include

  • establishing closer cooperation with international organizations and expanding the participation of Ukrainian players in global tournaments;
  • systematic work with young talents, including the creation of an effective infrastructure for the development of future esports stars;
  • improving the quality of national competitions and preparing for participation in prestigious international events.

The new president promises that under his leadership, the UESF will become a modern, competitive and open to global cooperation organization.

What does the UESF need to function effectively

Maksym Krippa notes that the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) needs to invest $1.5 to $2 million annually for stable and efficient operation. These funds are planned to be used to organize competitions, finance professional teams, and improve infrastructure.

Until 2022, the Ukrainian esports market was estimated at $20-30 million. The UESF played a key role in its formation and growth. Today, the organization seeks not only to regain its lost ground, but also to increase its influence on the industry, making it globally competitive.

To realize the ambitious plans to relaunch UESF, Maksym Krippa has formed a powerful team of professionals with deep experience in the esports industry. The team includes specialists who have previously been behind the success of leading Ukrainian clubs, organized international tournaments, and developed professional broadcasting in the esports industry.

The team covers key areas ranging from strategic management and club infrastructure development to coaching and analytics. UESF’s operations are headed by a new executive director who has extensive experience in organizing tournaments and has worked with top Ukrainian organizations. This staff should become the basis for the qualitative transformation of the Federation and the formation of a new level of Ukrainian esports.
