Max Verstappen Acknowledges the Challenge of Securing Another F1 Title

Superstar Rajinikanth recently reflected on his impressive five-decade career in cinema, expressing that the journey feels like a mere 10 to 15 years. The 74-year-old actor revealed his unwavering passion for acting and stated that he would choose this path in “every lifetime.”

At the closing ceremony of the 56th International Film Festival of India, Rajinikanth was honored for his contributions to Indian cinema. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant presented the actor with a shawl and a memento, recognizing his influential status in the film industry.

Reflecting on his career, Rajinikanth remarked, “If I look back, it seems like I’ve just been around for 10 to 15 years… Even if I were to have 100 jamam, I would like to be born as an actor, as Rajinikanth. Thank you for love and affection.” He attributed his achievements to the support of the cinema industry, including producers, directors, and technicians.

Known affectionately as Thalaivar, Rajinikanth has captivated audiences across generations with his unique performances and style. He made his film debut in 1975 with “Apoorva Ragangal” and has since starred in numerous iconic films such as “Thalapath”, “Baasha”, “Mullum Malarum”, “Enthiran”, “Kabali”, and “Jailer”.

The film festival also featured a screening of “Lal Salaam,” a Tamil-language sports action drama directed by his daughter, Aishwarya. The film tells the story of aspiring cricketers facing unfair setbacks and their journey to overcome challenges. It stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, with Rajinikanth appearing in an extended cameo role.

In terms of future projects, Rajinikanth is set to return to screens in “Jailer 2,” which is scheduled for release in June 2026. Additionally, he is working on an untitled film produced by fellow industry veteran Kamal Haasan, promising fans more of his beloved on-screen presence.
