McIlroy Triumphs Again at the Masters, Strengthening His Legacy

The anticipation for Priyadarshan’s latest film, Bhooth Bangla, is building as the trailer was unveiled recently. Starring Akshay Kumar, the film highlights the long-awaited reunion of the director and actor after several years apart. Producer Ekta Kapoor shared her excitement at the trailer launch, mentioning her eagerness to collaborate with Kumar once more.

In her remarks, Ekta Kapoor reflected on her extensive career, stating that in her 31 years in the industry, she had not encountered anyone quite like Akshay Kumar. She recounted an incident where he returned a cheque for a film that did not perform well, demonstrating his integrity. “I was shocked. Nobody does that in this industry,” she explained, expressing her astonishment at his generosity.

She emphasized that Akshay’s action was unprecedented in her lengthy career. She suggested he should focus on future films rather than returning money, saying, “I’ll earn a lot more from that.” This sentiment speaks volumes about their professional rapport, which has led to Bhooth Bangla.

The film itself, produced by Akshay Kumar along with Ekta and Shobha Kapoor, is a horror comedy. It features an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi. This new project marks a significant chapter in Kumar’s collaborations with Priyadarshan, who directed several successful films with him in the past.

Bhooth Bangla features a storyline crafted by Aakash Kaushik and dialogue by Rohan Shankar. The plot revolves around a man who inherits a supposedly haunted bungalow, set against the backdrop of a village where residents avoid marriage due to fear of a malevolent spirit. As the protagonist navigates the challenges of owning a haunted property and planning a wedding, comedic chaos ensues.

Originally scheduled for release on April 10, the film’s premiere has been postponed to April 17, with paid previews starting on the evening of April 16. Fans of the genre and the star cast can anticipate a blend of humor and spooky elements in this entertaining new venture.
