Noble Legacy Masters Set the Stage for UGC Season 3 at Saadiyat Links

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club set the stage for an intense opening of the Ultimate Golf Challenge Season 3, showcasing the best in corporate golf. Designed by Gary Player, this oceanfront course challenged players with its unpredictable coastal winds, requiring both strategic thinking and precise execution.

In the first round, teams selected two sub-teams of five players from a larger squad of 16. The best four Stableford scores from each sub-team contributed to the total, while the overall score from the top eight players determined the day’s rankings. Defending champions Noble Legacy Masters launched their title defense decisively, leading the scoreboard with 255 points due to a disciplined team effort. Following closely were Meteora Magicians with 247 points, and last season’s runner-up, The A Team, at 234 points.

Achal Ghai of Noble Legacy Masters emphasized the importance of their conservative approach. “Our players adhered to a sensible strategy that set us up well,” he noted, reflecting on their efficient gameplay.

In the individual competition, Maura Duggan from The A Team delivered an impressive performance, securing 40 Stableford points and claiming the top spot by one point over Dania McHaourab of Three Comma Masters. Samvit Chopra, also from The A Team, contributed 38 points, showcasing the team’s potential as they pursue their first UGC title.

Duggan highlighted accuracy as pivotal to her success. “Finding the fairways was crucial,” she stated, explaining that it made her approach shots shorter and more manageable. Adaptability emerged as another key aspect of her game, as she navigated the tricky course conditions.

The Tournament Director, Brandon de Souza, praised the teams for their preparation and adaptability. He recognized the unique challenges of the course, saying their composure resulted in a strong opening round.

Historically, Tristar Gladiators won the inaugural season in 2024, and Noble Legacy Masters followed with a championship in 2025.
