Pakistan Triumphs as All-Rounder Ayub Dismantles Australia

Postpartum depression is a significant issue that affects many new mothers. Malayalam actress Durga Krishna recently opened up about her experience with postpartum feelings of isolation following the birth of her daughter. In her social media post, she candidly described how the arrival of her child has led to disconnection with her husband, revealing both her love for her newborn and her struggles with loneliness.

Durga Krishna shared her feelings in a heartfelt note on Facebook, responding to a question about maternal support. She recounted the emotional turmoil of feeling “invisible” to her husband, Arjun Ravindran, shortly after welcoming their first child in 2025. Her message expressed a mix of deep affection for her baby along with a profound sadness that often remains hidden beneath the surface of joy associated with motherhood.

In her message, Durga noted that although she is deeply devoted to her child, the support she once received from her husband during pregnancy seems to have vanished. She described the sleepless nights she endures while her husband sleeps in another room, and how this change in dynamics has affected her perception of their marriage. The shift from being a couple to co-parents has left her feeling isolated, as she articulated: “I have become invisible. I am holding my baby with everything I have left, but my arms are shaking because no one is holding me.”

The actress’s vulnerability resonated with many, leading to an outpouring of support on social media. Fans responded to her revelations with empathy, sharing their own experiences and emphasizing the reality of postpartum challenges. Comments included acknowledgments that many women grapple with similar feelings and that it’s common for marriages to face strain during this transition. Some supporters encouraged Durga to remain strong while also warning about the potential repercussions of sharing such personal struggles publicly.

Durga Krishna and Arjun Ravindran tied the knot in 2021, and their daughter was born a few years later. Arjun has been involved in Durga’s career, having produced her film “Confessions of a Cuckoo” in 2021. The actress most recently appeared in the film “Thankamani” in 2024 and is set to star alongside Mohanlal in the upcoming project “Ram.”

Durga’s account sheds light on the often-overlooked emotional challenges faced by new mothers and the importance of communication and support in a changing family dynamic. It serves as a reminder that while motherhood can be a fulfilling journey, it is also fraught with complex feelings that deserve attention and understanding.
