The PGA Tour’s Signature Event, the Genesis Invitational, is poised at the forefront. Taking place at the renowned Riviera Country Club in California, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the tournament, previously known as the Los Angeles Open. With a substantial purse of $20 million, the event is organized by the Tiger Woods Foundation, emphasizing inclusivity in golf.
Notably, Babe Zaharias broke barriers in 1938 as the first female golfer to compete in a professional men’s tournament, a testament to the event’s legacy.
