Ruud Gullit Unveils Exclusive AC Milan Golf Collection in Dubai

AC Milan cultural icon Ruud Gullit is set to return to Dubai for a three-day program showcasing the AC Milan Golf Collection. This marks the collection’s first significant presentation in the Middle East following its launch this summer.

The AC Milan Golf Collection merges Milanese elegance with high-performance golf apparel. It embodies the city’s status as a global design hub, where the intersections of sport, style, and culture have consistently been influential. The collection represents AC Milan’s expanding style and brand identity, making it recognizable beyond the realms of football.

In Dubai, Gullit, a pivotal figure in AC Milan’s history and a two-time World Footballer of the Year, participated in a media luncheon at Aelia in SIRO One Za’abeel. Here, regional media were introduced to the golf collection, highlighting its unique attributes.

Additionally, Gullit took time to visit Jumeirah Golf Estates in preparation for the upcoming DP World Tour Championship. Sporting the fashionable AC Milan Golf Collection, he competed in the Rolex Pro-Am event on the Earth course.

The Dutch football legend is also scheduled to engage in a Short-Game Challenge at the DP World Championship Village. This event, taking place on Wednesday, includes renowned American golf influencer Bradford Wilson and is part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 30×30 initiative.

The AC Milan Golf Collection is the inaugural release under Clubhouse, a new creative platform from AC Milan that bridges the world of football with culture, fashion, design, music, and the arts. Clubhouse signifies a fresh chapter for AC Milan, uniting the club’s heritage with global creativity and fans, while continuing to shape its contemporary narrative.

Gullit expressed his views on the collection, stating, “Milan has always stood for elegance and innovation, and you feel that same spirit in this collection.” He emphasized Dubai’s role as an ideal location for showcasing how AC Milan intertwines culture and sport. “I’m looking forward to being back here and sharing the AC Milan story with our fans in the region,” he added.

Valerio Rocchetti, AC Milan’s Director of Licensing, Retail and E-Commerce, voiced his excitement about presenting the golf collection in Dubai. According to Rocchetti, “This collection is a natural expression of who we are as a club.” He acknowledged AC Milan’s dual identity as both a sports and cultural institution shaped by Milan’s prominence in the fashion and design industry.

He also highlighted the significance of this initiative for the Middle East, stating, “We are proud to bring this collection to Dubai with Ruud, whose legacy continues to inspire our global community.” Rocchetti noted that the Middle East is strategically important for AC Milan, and the club aims to enhance its presence authentically and sustainably.

AC Milan’s relationship with the Middle East is well-established, bolstered by significant partnerships like that with Emirates Airline, one of the longest and most fruitful collaborations in football. The recent establishment of Casa Milan Dubai in 2023 further solidifies the club’s commitment to connecting with its growing fan base in the region.
