Schaper Aims for Third DP World Tour Victory at Dubai Invitational

Kareena Kapoor recently sparked nostalgia on social media by sharing a series of throwback photos from 2016, a year she fondly described as “The Year of the Bump.” These snapshots provide fans with a personal look into her life during her first pregnancy with Taimur Ali Khan, combining glamorous moments with heartfelt family interactions.

The photo carousel opens with a striking image of Kareena in an animal-print monokini, showcasing a bold approach to maternity fashion. This is followed by her iconic Vogue India cover from the same year, where she appeared in a white shirt and leather skirt while confidently holding dumbbells, marking her at three-and-a-half months pregnant. Another candid moment features Kareena posing with Karan Johar and a friend, humorously captioned as a time when they were unaware of her pregnancy.

Family moments are also celebrated in this collection. One set of photos captures Kareena alongside her sister Karisma Kapoor, and friends like Malaika Arora and Salman Khan, all of whom were present just 48 hours before Taimur’s arrival. A touching image shows Saif Ali Khan affectionately “guarding the bump,” while another frame highlights Kareena with Karisma’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, as well as Saif’s kids, Sara and Ibrahim.

Fans and colleagues eagerly reacted to the nostalgic post, expressing their admiration in the comments. Actress Amrita Arora referred to those days as the “best times,” while content creator Kusha Kapila remarked that Kareena had “won the trend.” Other fans chimed in, with one stating, “Bebo’s 2016 dump is just what I needed,” highlighting the emotional resonance of the photos.

Reflecting on 2016, it was indeed a pivotal year for Kareena. Not only did she welcome Taimur, but she also marked a triumphant return to the big screen with “Veere Di Wedding” in 2018. This film, a groundbreaking female-led ensemble project, challenged societal norms regarding women, friendship, and sexuality, ultimately achieving significant commercial success by grossing around ₹138 crore worldwide.

Looking ahead, Kareena is set to star in Meghna Gulzar’s crime thriller “Daayra,” alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran. While the release is anticipated for 2026, the exact date has yet to be announced, keeping fans excited about her future projects.
