Scotland Takes Bangladesh’s Spot at 2026 T20 World Cup

Salman Khan recently celebrated Republic Day by sharing a touching video featuring his nephew Ahil and niece Ayat. The clip showcases the children singing “Maatrubhumi,” a track from Khan’s forthcoming film, Battle of Galwan. This family moment resonated with fans, emphasizing themes of patriotism.

In the Instagram video, Salman Khan invites his niece and nephew to sing along with him as he listens to “Maatrubhumi” on his iPad. With a supportive smile, he encourages them to join in, while they appear to enjoy the experience with their beloved uncle. The joyful exchange highlights the familial bond amid the patriotic context of the song.

The visual features Salman in a black T-shirt, exuding charm with his moustache. Meanwhile, Ayat looks adorable in an orange-and-white dress, and Ahil sports a military-green hoodie. The video concludes with Khan praising the song’s composer, Himesh Reshammiya, expressing his admiration by saying, “Himesh, what a melody yaar brother. Too good, you are,” which was warmly acknowledged by Himesh through social media emojis.

“Maatrubhumi” stands out as a tribute to national heroes and those who prioritize their country above all. Composed by Reshammiya, with lyrics from Sameer Anjaan, and vocals from renowned artists Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, the song encapsulates both emotional depth and the patriotic intensity that relates closely to the film’s overarching theme.

The film Battle of Galwan draws inspiration from the clash at Galwan Valley that occurred in June 2020. It portrays the harrowing encounters between Indian and Chinese soldiers in challenging conditions, where combatants fought without firearms. Salman Khan takes center stage as an Indian Army officer modeled after Colonel B Santosh Babu, a notable figure from the 2020 confrontation. Alongside him, Chitrangda Singh stars as the female lead, with a supporting cast that includes Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Vipin Bhardwaj, Abhilash Chaudhary, Nirbhay Chaudhary, and Siddharth Mooley.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Salman Khan Films, the narrative focuses on themes of bravery, sacrifice, and camaraderie. It seeks to honor the unwavering spirit of Indian soldiers in their fight against formidable challenges. Audiences can anticipate Battle of Galwan in theaters on April 17.
