Seemar’s Aspirations: UAE Trainer Aims for Glory at Dubai World Cup

Singer Shreya Ghoshal recently shared her thoughts on Arijit Singh’s decision to step back from playback singing in Bollywood, acknowledging her own occasional desire for a break. She commended Arijit for his bravery in making such a bold choice.

In a recent interview with ABP News, Shreya discussed the emotional weight of Arijit’s decision and her own reflections on a possible hiatus. She expressed that live performances are intrinsic to her identity as an artist, emphasizing her discomfort with lip-syncing. “I will stop singing the day I have to do that,” she declared.

Shreya expressed deep respect for Arijit’s choice, recognizing the courage it takes to step away from a significant role in playback singing. She remarked, “He took that decision very bravely…He is a musician from the heart.” For Shreya, Arijit’s dedication to his craft resonates with audiences, highlighting the heartfelt connection he fosters through his music.

Starting her own playback singing career with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Devdas,” Shreya received her first National Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song “Bairi Piya.” Over the years, she has lent her voice to songs in multiple languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

Recently, she announced her upcoming “The Unstoppable World Tour,” which will include performances across various countries such as the UK, USA, India, and Abu Dhabi.

Arijit Singh’s retirement announcement came on January 27, when he shared his decision via a post on X, expressing gratitude for the love he received from fans over the years. He stated, “I am happy to announce that I am not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey.”

In his message, Arijit conveyed his desire for the new generation of artists to emerge and inspire him with their talent. While he affirmed that he would continue to create music outside Bollywood, he clarified that he would not take on new playback singing roles after fulfilling his current commitments. Recently, Arijit released his first independent track titled “Raina,” with music composed by Sheykhar Ravjiani and lyrics by Priya Saraiya.
