South Africa’s T20 World Cup Challenge: A Crucial Clash with New Zealand

Eric Dane, known for his role in Grey’s Anatomy, sadly passed away on February 19, 2026, after a year-long struggle with ALS. His death has sparked grief among fans, but allegations from his former co-star Laura Ann Tull have brought new attention to his legacy.

Laura Ann Tull has accused Eric Dane of bullying during their time on Grey’s Anatomy. In a series of posts following his death, she described him as a “bully” and a “narcissist,” claiming his behavior caused her significant personal and professional distress. Tull noted that even in the wake of his passing, the negative experiences she endured remain fresh in her memory.

In her messages, Tull detailed incidents of bullying, stating that Dane mocked her while she was battling serious health issues, including cancer and an autoimmune disease. She emphasized that his death does not erase the harm she feels he inflicted upon her during their time together on the set of Grey’s Anatomy.

Additionally, Tull claimed responsibility for Dane’s departure from the show, alleging that she contacted the office of creator Shonda Rhimes two weeks before his termination was announced. While she doubts Rhimes will confirm this, Tull expressed that her actions directly influenced the decision to let Dane go.

These allegations quickly gained traction online, though there has been no official statement from ABC, Shondaland, or representatives of Eric Dane regarding the matter. Tull’s accusations are not new; she previously touched on her experiences working with Dane in a 2018 essay on Medium, stating that while she never had direct interactions with him, she was aware of his disparaging remarks.

Eric Dane portrayed Dr. Mark Sloan, affectionately known as “McSteamy,” from 2006 to 2012, and his character became a pivotal part of the show’s allure. His exit was initially framed as a mutual decision, yet years later, Dane suggested that financial factors may have played a role, indicating he felt he was “let go.”

The allegations from Tull have reopened conversations about the culture on the set of Grey’s Anatomy and the impact of relationships among cast members. As fans reflect on Dane’s legacy, these revelations add complexity to the narrative surrounding his career.
