UAE Team Emirates-XRG Celebrates Landmark 2025 with Global Honors

UAE Team Emirates-XRG has concluded a record-breaking 2025 season, receiving significant international recognition. The revered Spanish sports media outlet, Marca, honored the Emirati squad as the Best International Team of 2025, while Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar was celebrated as the Best International Athlete.

This season marks another successful chapter for UAE Team Emirates-XRG, which continued to shatter long-standing cycling records. The team achieved an extraordinary total of 97 victories, the highest ever recorded by any team in a single season, alongside 56 podium finishes. The depth of talent within the squad was evident, with 20 different riders contributing to the victory tally throughout the year.

Building on its previous achievements in 2023 and 2024, the team maintained its status as the UCI No.1 Team for a third year in a row. This accomplishment highlights a season characterized by consistently high performance and a series of significant victories.

The recognition from Marca, one of the foremost sports media platforms in Spain and globally, underscores the team’s growing prominence in the sporting arena. Ahead of prestigious teams like Paris Saint-Germain and the McLaren Formula 1 Team, this honor reflects the squad’s historical achievements and ability to leave a mark in the competitive world of cycling.

Central to this success was Tadej Pogacar, who finished the season as the UCI world No.1 cyclist. Pogacar’s impressive 2025 season included a victory at the Tour de France and successful runs in all five Monuments, where he clinched three wins. His performance also included notable success at the World Championships, earning him the title of Marca’s Best International Athlete, where he was recognized among elite talents such as Jannik Sinner and Shohei Ohtani.

Mauro Gianetti, the team principal and CEO, expressed pride in these achievements.
