A magnitude 5.3 earthquake has struck off the coast of Hokkaido, northern Japan.
Currently, there are no immediate reports of casualties or damage resulting from the quake.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 50 kilometers.
