Abdullah Bin Zayed and Canada’s Foreign Minister Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments in Ottawa

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Anita Anand, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his official visit to Ottawa.

During their discussion, they explored the bilateral relations between the UAE and Canada and examined ways to strengthen collaboration across various sectors.

Sheikh Abdullah and Minister Anand reviewed the potential opportunities for enhancing cooperation in areas such as economics, education, investment, trade, technology, and energy.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the robust and friendly ties between the UAE and Canada, noting the UAE’s commitment to further developing this exceptional relationship filled with promising opportunities for growth and advancement, benefiting both countries’ aspirations for a more prosperous future.

The two officials also addressed updates regarding regional and international developments and discussed their implications for global peace and security.

Present at the meeting were several UAE officials, including Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; and Abdul Rahman Ali Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Canada.
