Abu Dhabi Shuts Down Restaurant for Breaching Food Regulations, Endangering Public Health

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority announced the administrative closure of a restaurant in the emirate on Thursday, April 17.

The authority shared this information on its Instagram account, notifying residents about the decision. The establishment, located in Al Shahama, was found in breach of Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food regulations in Abu Dhabi and related legislation.

Tasif Restaurant, which operates under trade license number CN-2836859, was found to be engaging in activities that posed “a significant risk to public health.”

Additionally, last week, the authority ordered the closure of Strong Tea Cafeteria in Mohamed Bin Zayed City due to violations of food safety regulations in the emirate.

The cafeteria had been previously penalized three times and was warned about potential closure due to pest infestations and unsanitary conditions.
