As part of the “Valiant Knight 3” initiative, the United Arab Emirates, in collaboration with the World Health Organization, has delivered a consignment of medical supplies and medications to the healthcare sector in Gaza. This aid aims to enhance the capabilities of health facilities amidst a severe shortage.
A number of these trucks were handed over to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, transporting a variety of essential medicines and medical supplies to support the facility in addressing emergency cases, especially given the hospital’s dwindling stock of medications.
Sharif Al-Nirb, the media director of the “Valiant Knight 3” operation in Gaza, emphasized that the UAE continues to provide medical assistance and pharmaceuticals as part of this initiative, aiming to prevent the collapse of the health infrastructure and alleviate the suffering of hospitals and patients in the region.
Dr. Hiba Al-Najjar, coordinator of medical emergency teams at the World Health Organization, mentioned that the organization has supplied a shipment of medications to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which includes all necessary and currently unavailable items in Gaza’s health facilities. She expressed hope for ongoing cooperation and for more Emirati aid to support the health sector.
Ibrahim Al-Fara, who oversees the reception of foreign medical aid at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, remarked that the medicines and supplies provided by the UAE serve as a lifeline for all patients, highlighting that continued support revitalizes hospitals and aids in saving patients and the injured.
The delivery of these supplies is set to continue in phases over the coming period, as part of the UAE’s sustained efforts through the “Valiant Knight 3” initiative to mitigate the health crisis in Gaza and ensure the ongoing provision of medical services.
