Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed: The UAE’s Commitment to Building Fruitful Partnerships Focused on Cooperation and Shared Interests
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania discussed the enhancement of the growing bilateral relations between their countries in Tirana.
In a post on his account on “X” platform, Sheikh Mohamed noted yesterday, “In Tirana, I discussed with Prime Minister Edi Rama strategies to enhance the growing relations between our nations, particularly in sectors that serve our mutual developmental priorities. We exchanged views on shared issues and explored ways to support peace and stability both regionally and internationally.”
The UAE President had met with the Albanian Prime Minister at the Prime Minister’s office in Tirana two days ago as part of his official visit to Albania.
Prime Minister Edi Rama welcomed Sheikh Mohamed and his accompanying delegation at the start of the meeting, expressing hope that the visit would elevate the bilateral ties towards broader horizons of cooperation and joint efforts, contributing to mutual development and future aspirations.
During the conversation, both sides reviewed several regional and international issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of enhancing international cooperation to resolve conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic channels, thereby supporting the foundations of peace and stability at both regional and global levels.
Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its relationships with countries in the Balkan region, particularly Albania. He emphasized the nation’s steadfast approach to building fruitful developmental partnerships based on cooperation and mutual interests while also supporting any efforts to establish peace and stability in the region, promoting development and prosperity for its peoples and the world, and contributing to a brighter future for all.
Both leaders expressed their determination to continue advancing the bilateral relations and expanding cooperation, particularly in economic, investment, and developmental areas, benefiting their friendly nations.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Edi Rama awarded Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed the “Bene Merenti” medal in recognition of his dedication to fostering bilateral relationships across various dimensions, which is the highest honor bestowed by the Prime Minister of Albania.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for Sheikh Mohamed’s commitment to advancing UAE-Albanian relations, noting that the awarding of the medal reflects the high regard held for him in Albania.
