Alice Evans Allegedly Utilized Career Threats Against Ioan Gruffudd

Ioan Gruffudd, renowned for his portrayal of Reed Richards in Fantastic Four and as Harold Lowe in Titanic, is currently making headlines due to serious allegations against his ex-wife, Alice Evans. Gruffudd claims that Evans has threatened to damage his career by fabricating severe accusations against him.

In a recent court appearance, Gruffudd sought to extend a restraining order against Evans, stating that both he and his new wife, Bianca Wallace, have felt stalked and verbally attacked by her. During the proceedings, he described Evans’ threats, including a disturbing reference to “Amber Heard,” indicating her intent to make false claims similar to those made in the high-profile defamation case involving Heard and Johnny Depp.

The actor recounted a troubling incident where, after dropping off their children following a visitation, Evans confronted him aggressively. She allegedly made chilling remarks, implying that she would ruin him and even warned their children to report any inappropriate behavior from their father. Gruffudd quoted her as saying she would “destroy” him and suggested that he was under the influence of drugs and mental instability.

Gruffudd expressed deep concern over Evans’ threats and her apparent desire to undermine his public persona. He indicated that she has mentioned he would end up begging for financial help, which he found extraordinarily intimidating. He feared she could orchestrate a scandal of immense proportions, even comparing it to the notorious fallout between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Additionally, Gruffudd noted that Evans had directed threats toward his second wife, suggesting she might fabricate criminal claims that could lead to deportation. Their divorce, finalized in 2023, came after they separated in 2021. During this time, Evans accused Gruffudd of having an affair with Wallace, claims he has categorically denied in court.

This tumultuous situation escalated in February 2022, when Gruffudd filed for a restraining order due to Evans’ threats during their final months together. He revealed that she persistently warned him that if their relationship ended, she would make public allegations designed to destroy him. Despite securing a three-year restraining order against her, he remains determined to keep her out of his life completely, especially given the additional complications, such as their daughter Ella’s own denied restraining order request against her father and Wallace earlier this year.

The ongoing conflict raises significant questions about the broader implications of celebrity and personal relationships, particularly the ease with which public narratives can be manipulated. As this case develops, it underscores the challenges faced by individuals in the public eye when personal matters become entangled with media representation.
