Anant Ambani’s Heartfelt Tribute to His Late Dog with a Golden Brooch

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant captivated attendees at the Global Peace Honours 2025 in Mumbai with their elegant appearance. The couple’s chemistry and style were the highlight of the evening, especially Anant’s choice of accessories, which included a poignant homage to his late pet, Happy.

Radhika Merchant was a vision in a traditional lehenga adorned with intricate embroidery. Her outfit featured a stylish backless choli, a flowing skirt embellished with gold detailing, and a matching dupatta that completed her look. Complementing her ensemble, Radhika chose polki jhumkas and a coordinated necklace, enhancing her graceful presence.

In contrast, Anant Ambani wore a navy-blue three-piece sherwani. His outfit exuded sophistication, but it was the distinctive gold brooch that commanded attention. This piece served as a heartfelt tribute to his deceased dog, Happy, symbolizing his enduring affection for the pet who was an integral part of his family.

Happy first captured public attention during Anant’s engagement to Radhika, where he made a memorable appearance as the ring bearer. The beloved dog was also present during the wedding celebrations and appeared in family portraits. In a previous interview, Nita Ambani described Happy’s significance to the family, drawing attention to the special bond they shared.

On April 30, 2025, Happy passed away, prompting a poignant farewell from the Ambani family. They honored his memory by establishing a touching memorial, expressing that Happy was not merely a pet but a cherished family member. In a heartfelt tribute, they shared a message that reflected their sorrow and appreciation for the joy Happy brought into their lives, emphasizing that his legacy would endure in their hearts.

The family’s formal note read: “In the loving memory of beloved Happy. It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of our beloved dog, Happy. More than just a pet, he was family—a loyal companion, a source of comfort, and a constant presence of unconditional love. The joy HAPPY brought into our lives will never be forgotten. From the playful moments to the quiet times of companionship, his memory will forever live in our hearts. Run free, sweet Happy. You will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.”

Anant’s tribute at the event illustrates the profound impact pets have on our lives and the love they inspire in their owners. The Ambani family’s open expression of grief showcases the deep connections we share with our furry friends.
