Artificial Intelligence Will Shape the Future of Media Landscape

Dr. Yasar Jarrar, a member of the Board of Trustees at Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, emphasized that 60% of the population in Gulf countries is under the age of thirty, highlighting the importance of empowering youth in the digital transformation era.

During a working session titled “Opportunities for Youth in the Age of Digital Transformation” at the Arab Media Summit, he stressed that credibility will be the key criterion for success in the media sector, with artificial intelligence technologies playing a crucial role in shaping the future media landscape.

Dr. Jarrar noted that individuals who do not enhance their digital skills and leverage artificial intelligence will find themselves outside the competitive sphere. He pointed out the necessity of upskilling in digital competencies and creating innovative, engaging content that aligns with the fast-paced nature of today’s information flow. He also highlighted that curiosity has been a fundamental driver for scientists and innovators, marking it as an essential skill that young people should adopt to advance development.

Technology

He discussed the influence of technology and artificial intelligence, stating that they represent a treasure for the future. Governments are making significant efforts to build and enhance digital infrastructure, and he urged the youth to seize the available opportunities and develop their skills in line with digital shifts.

Dr. Jarrar concluded by emphasizing that continuous learning is the most critical skill to acquire and master, as the world becomes interconnected through digital platforms. There is no longer a distinction between local and global content; information is now accessible to everyone in a unified framework.
