China has experienced record-breaking temperatures surpassing 40 degrees Celsius this week in several regions across the northern and central parts of the country, as reported by various media outlets.
Among the cities most affected by this heatwave is Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, where temperatures peaked at 41 degrees Celsius on Monday. Meanwhile, in Lanzhou, located to the north, the thermometer recorded an alarming 43.2 degrees Celsius, and the small city of Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province saw temperatures reach 42.9 degrees Celsius, according to information from the national meteorological service.
