Dharmendra’s Health Status Debunked: Facts Behind the Viral Hoax

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, who has had a remarkable career spanning over six decades, is currently in the spotlight due to health concerns. The actor, poised to celebrate his 90th birthday, was recently hospitalized, sparking a wave of anxiety among his fans.

Reports surfaced that Dharmendra was placed on a ventilator at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, which prompted further speculation about his well-being. However, a closer look at the facts reveals that these claims are unfounded, and the actor’s situation is not as dire as it appeared.

Confirming the misinformation, a report from NewsX clarified that there is no truth to the rumors of Dharmendra’s passing. The actor has been recovering in the hospital since October 31, 2025, but he has never been on a ventilator. Sources close to Dharmendra, including his son Sunny Deol, have dismissed these rumors as false.

Additionally, sources from the Indian Express indicated that Sunny Deol visited his father in the hospital recently. They emphasized that if the situation were critical, family members would be present with him. As one source remarked, “The whole ventilator news is fake. Dharmendra is hospitalized but not on a ventilator.”

Despite the reassurances, social media buzz continued when it was reported that actress Hema Malini had arrived at the hospital. This news further fueled speculation, although those close to Dharmendra maintained that he was not in serious condition.

Recently, there were reports of Dharmendra experiencing breathlessness, which initially raised concerns. However, close acquaintances, including Hema Malini, later confirmed that he was hospitalized for routine health checks. His family has consistently stated that there is nothing to be alarmed about.

In previous months, there were worries regarding Dharmendra’s health, with reports suggesting he was living alone at his farmhouse. His son Bobby Deol addressed these concerns, clarifying that both of his parents were, in fact, residing together at the farmhouse. Bobby noted, “They love being at the farmhouse. It’s relaxing for them, and the weather is nice.”

Overall, the recent rumors surrounding Dharmendra’s health illustrate how quickly misinformation can spread. Fans can take comfort in knowing that the actor is receiving care and is on the road to recovery, reassured by the statements from his family and close associates.
