Dianna Russini Steps Down from The Athletic Following Mike Vrabel Photo Issue

Medha Shankr, known for her role in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s “12th Fail,” is gearing up for her upcoming romantic comedy “Ginny Wedss Sunny 2,” alongside Avinash Tiwary. As part of the promotional activities for the film, she shed light on her experiences within the film industry.

During a recent interview, Shankr was asked about any instances of humiliation she might have faced on film sets. While she clarified that she has not encountered such negativity on set, she did share feelings of exclusion in other professional environments, particularly during events and interactions with designers.

Reflecting on her experiences, Shankr discussed subtle ways she has felt overlooked at stylistic events. She elaborated on the peculiar behaviors within the industry that can leave one questioning its unspoken norms. Despite having no ill feelings, she admitted that those moments can be perplexing and uncomfortable.

At these events, she recounted how certain designers might refuse to offer outfits, leading to feelings of confusion. “Of course, it doesn’t matter to me, but I do remember your names,” she stated, acknowledging the peculiarities of such interactions while maintaining a sense of dignity.

Avinash Tiwary, also present during the promotion, shared his insights regarding the overarching dynamics of power within the industry. He pointed out that those in powerful positions sometimes impose their will, yet he respects individuals who resist such pressures.

Tiwary spoke about how the perception of integrity has evolved, suggesting that earlier, those who could not be influenced were highly regarded. He emphasized that maintaining integrity is crucial, irrespective of one’s wealth or status. Tiwary noted, “Whatever games are being played, we are not here because of anyone’s favour. Everyone is here because of their own talent, so there is no need to fear or overthink so much.”

As for “Ginny Wedss Sunny 2,” the film is scheduled for release on April 24. It features a robust supporting cast, including Lillete Dubey, Sudhir Pandey, Govind Namdev, Gopi Bhalla, Nayani Dixit, Vishwanath Chatterjee, and Rohit Chaudhary. Produced by Vinod Bachchan and Umesh Kumar Bansal, under the banners of Zee Studios and Soundrya Productions, it promises to deliver an engaging viewing experience.
