A team of researchers has discovered a rare species of marine mollusk at a depth of 6 kilometers beneath the surface of the Pacific Ocean. This marine creature, named “Bathylbita wadatsumi,” was found clinging to volcanic rocks during a deep-sea expedition conducted by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology.
