The charity organization Bayt Al Khair distributed approximately 20,000 meals to workers in the Emirate of Dubai during the summer months as part of its flagship humanitarian initiative, “Food for All.” These meals are provided after the Friday prayers each week, in collaboration with the Dubai Permanent Committee for Labor Affairs, across various locations in the emirate. This effort aims to support the most vulnerable populations by offering nutritious and balanced meals to workers braving the heat.
Additionally, the organization took part in the campaign to prohibit work during midday hours, launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which ran from June 15 to September 15. They distributed 1,050 chilled meals to workers throughout different emirates, along with gifts and personal care items for 158 workers. This initiative aligns with the campaign’s goals to protect laborers from direct exposure to the sun and high temperatures during peak hours by enforcing rest periods, providing water, ensuring proper working conditions, and monitoring the campaign’s implementation at work sites to safeguard workers’ well-being.
This initiative reflects Bayt Al Khair’s strategy to organize high-quality programs and initiatives to support workers and those in need throughout the year, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to social responsibility, promoting a culture of kindness and giving, and contributing to the nation’s efforts to protect workers’ rights and improve their daily living conditions.
