Dubai Concludes Three Specialized Events in Its Medical and Educational Agenda

Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, the Future of Healthcare Summit (HFS) 2025 concluded yesterday in Dubai.

The event included the annual Radiology Conference and Exhibition (ARM), as well as the International Family Medicine Conference and Exhibition (IFM), collectively enriching Dubai’s medical and educational agenda.

The summit wrapped up with a roundtable meeting that brought together a group of healthcare experts to discuss essential initiatives aimed at advancing the health sector in Dubai.

Discussions centered around key summit themes that contribute to supporting healthcare in the emirate, including: quality of life, vaccination and immunization, school health, health policies, and medical tourism.

In collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority and organized by Index Conference and Exhibition Organizers, along with knowledge partner JLL Healthcare, the meeting highlighted the strategic priorities for transforming healthcare in Dubai.

Experts underscored the significance of preventive measures, advocating for investments in early detection and targeted health programs, as well as workplace wellness programs to mitigate productivity losses linked to preventable diseases. Dr. Abdul Salam Medini, Ambassador of the Mediterranean Parliament in the GCC region and CEO of the Future of Healthcare Summit, stated:

“Dubai reaffirms its commitment to leading innovation in the healthcare sector through collaboration and the adoption of data-driven, community-centered strategies. This meeting has strengthened our vision of contributing to a healthier and more resilient city by integrating advanced technologies with preventive care to serve community needs.”

Discussions highlighted the importance of unified governance and coordination among various stakeholders in Dubai’s healthcare system, including government bodies, private entities, educational institutions, employers, and insurance companies.

Participants also concurred on the necessity of adopting technology- and data-driven approaches, particularly artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and real-time monitoring to enhance resource allocation and decision-making in health care.

The meeting emphasized strategies that place the community at the core. In the area of school health, experts recommended a holistic approach integrating mental and emotional health, nutrition, social interaction, and digital behavioral awareness, supported by counselors and psychologists within schools.

Digital Transformation

The meeting addressed digital transformation as a key driver in advancing the health sector, calling for the establishment of unified digital systems, centralized databases, and interactive models incentivized through rewards and loyalty programs, as well as automated alerts via text messages or mobile health applications for screenings and vaccinations.

The discussions also touched on Dubai’s growing status as a premier destination for medical tourism, emphasizing the continued investment in centers of excellence and the development of healthcare personnel.

The meeting concluded with the introduction of innovative collaborative solutions to bolster Dubai’s health transformation agenda, with key findings to be compiled into an upcoming working paper covering all summit pillars.

Additionally, the annual Radiology Conference and Exhibition 2025 celebrated a decade of accomplishments in the field of radiology and medical imaging, announcing that Dubai will host the International Society of Radiology and Radiation Technology (ISRRT) global conference for the first time in the region next year, alongside the annual radiology event, under the new theme: “Annual Radiology Conference and Exhibition… A New Era for Radiology in the Arab World.”

Hosting the ISRRT conference alongside the annual radiology event in Dubai 2026 marks a significant achievement, reinforcing the city’s position as a leading hub for innovation, collaboration, and excellence in medical imaging.

Platform

Samer Ahmed Al-Fara, Executive Director of the Annual Radiology Conference and Exhibition and Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Accreditation at Al Dhafra University, stated: “The Annual Radiology Conference and Exhibition has always been a platform for innovation and collaboration in this field.

The research presented this year highlights the increasing role of the region in the global medical imaging landscape. We are proud to continue supporting knowledge, guidance, and scientific excellence through this event.”

The conference featured a distinguished array of scientific contributions, including poster presentations showcasing the latest advances in oncology. The leading research presentation by PhD student Michael France was one of the highlights of the event, setting a new standard for future conferences. The high caliber of research submissions led to the creation of a new recognition category and the selection of several invited speakers for the next session.

The Annual Radiology Conference and Exhibition will continue to grow next year with the hosting of the 24th ISRRT conference in Dubai 2026, further solidifying Dubai’s status as a leading regional center for innovation and collaboration in radiology.

The Future of Healthcare Summit 2025 and the Annual Radiology Conference and Exhibition are organized by Index Conference and Exhibition Organizers, a member of Index Holding, with support from the Dubai Health Authority.

These events provide a comprehensive platform for medical students, doctors, and healthcare professionals to learn about the latest scientific developments, engage in interactive sessions, and gain insights that enhance their skills and position them at the forefront of medical innovation.
