Dubai Women’s Initiative Unveils Innovative Programs to Empower Future Generations

The Women’s Renaissance Association in Dubai continues its efforts through the Future Generations Department by launching innovative initiatives aimed at empowering both young men and women. These programs are designed to enhance their skills across various social, cultural, entrepreneurial, and modern technological fields. The overarching vision of these initiatives contributes to family stability and community development, striving to build a brighter future in alignment with the association’s mission to support societal growth and nurture a promising generation.

Khawla Al-Matrooshi, the director of the Future Generations Events Department, explained that the department has introduced a range of diverse events in line with the declaration of 2025 as the Year of the Community, supporting the goals of Dubai’s Social Agenda 33 under the theme “The Family is the Foundation of the Nation.” This initiative aims to foster stable households and cultivate confident generations that are proud of their identities and prepared for the future.

Regarding the key initiatives, Al-Matrooshi highlighted the “Audio Broadcasting” initiative, which seeks to enhance the content creation skills of participants from both genders. This initiative encourages them to produce meaningful content that benefits the community and the country. Furthermore, the department has launched the “Connect” initiative—workshops that serve as a bridge between mothers and their children, allowing mothers to understand their children’s traits and listen to their opinions, thereby enhancing communication and creating a friendly atmosphere for constructive dialogues.

Additionally, the organization hosted the “Renaissance National Investment Festival” called “Reach,” under the theme “Youth Today for Tomorrow.” This event aimed to empower young entrepreneurs by offering a vibrant investment environment to showcase their projects to the public and partners, alongside educational and interactive workshops involving 180 participants.

The association also established the “Volunteer and Work” program, running for three months, which attracted 50 graduates who had not secured jobs to volunteer in governmental and private institutions. This initiative aimed to bolster their training experience, resulting in 15 of them being employed in the institutions they volunteered for.

Moreover, the “Experience” initiative focuses on equipping young women with the necessary skills and knowledge for the job market. The “Achievements” initiative supports graduates of the “Achievements” program carried out by Al-Wasl University in Dubai, in collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology, through employment opportunities within the association.

Emerging Challenges

The association has also introduced initiatives aimed at mothers to better understand the challenges they face in child-rearing and interactions with family members and their children’s schools. These initiatives will explore their suggestions and work towards implementing workshops and programs designed to improve family life quality.

The director of the Future Generations Events Department explained that these workshops aim to educate mothers and children on how to confront negative societal phenomena, such as harassment and bullying in schools.

As for the “Phenomena and Solutions” initiative, it targets school students by promoting positivity through sessions discussing their interests and challenges while considering their proposals.

Additionally, the department has not overlooked the launch of off-curricular therapeutic programs for students and children who have faced situations impacting their mental well-being. One such program is the “Ishikawa Fishbone Diagram” model, aiding them in developing self-psychological treatment skills. Concurrently, initiatives like “Gift to Cultivate Love” are consistently organized to strengthen communication among school students and enhance community bonds.

Volunteer Opportunities

The “Generational Craftsmanship” initiative targets high school girls, involving them in volunteer and training fields while teaching them essential skills for workforce readiness.

Furthermore, the “Generation of Creativity” initiative, organized by the association in partnership with the Technical Network Academy, trains youths in automotive maintenance, aiming to prepare them for future careers and instill a culture of technical and manual work among them.
