They argued that while Major Shaitan Singh Bhati was a key figure, he led a unit predominantly made up of Ahirs, and they sought acknowledgment of their contributions in the portrayal of the events. They stated:
“Our community is here today to ensure our valiant efforts are reflected in history instead of being wiped out as is being attempted. The character played by Farhan Akhtar did lead the 100+ Ahirs, but our sacrifice should not be forgotten by promoting only the Chauhan community.”
