Electronic Government Services Halted in South Korea Due to Data Center Fire
Electronic services provided by the South Korean government have been suspended following a fire at the national data center, as reported by local news agency Yonhap.
The fire broke out last night at the National Information Resources Service located in Daejeon, triggered by an explosion of a lithium-ion battery in the computer room.
As a result of the incident, 647 electronic government services and systems have been temporarily shut down.
