Following Abu Dhabi, luxury school set to launch in Dubai, expected to open by 2026

A new Harrow International School will soon be established in Dubai, expanding the premium education offerings in the region. The school is designed to accommodate up to 2,000 students.

Taaleem Holdings PJSC, recognized as a key player in K-12 premium education in the UAE, boasting a network of 38 schools and listed on the Dubai Financial Market, has announced the upcoming opening of this school in collaboration with Harrow International Schools Limited.

This initiative follows the endorsement from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and the signing of a land lease agreement for a prominent 50,000 square meter location on Hessa Street.

Program Offerings from Early Years to Year 6

The Harrow Dubai campus, situated on Hessa Street, is anticipated to begin accepting applications in September 2025, with full operations expected to commence by 2026.

Initially, the school will cater to students from Early Years to Year 6, with plans for future expansion to accommodate a total of 2,000 students.

Spanning 50,000 square meters, the school will boast advanced facilities that encourage practical and immersive learning experiences. It will also adopt Harrow’s esteemed educational framework, which focuses on fostering a sense of belonging, leadership, and community engagement.

Designed by the award-winning Dubai-based firm KODA, the campus will incorporate neuro-architectural concepts, blending modern design elements with traditional influences, celebrating Harrow’s rich 450-year legacy of academic excellence.

Elite Educational Institutions

The establishment of Harrow Dubai marks the second addition to Taaleem’s elite roster of educational institutions, following the announcement in February 2025 regarding Harrow International School Abu Dhabi, which is set to open on Saadiyat Island in 2026.

“The launch of Harrow Dubai, the second Harrow institution in the UAE, signifies an important step in the expansion efforts of both Harrow and Taaleem, demonstrating their shared dedication to educational excellence,” stated Edward Hobart, the British Ambassador to the UAE.

“This new chapter emphasizes the strengthening educational connections between the UK and UAE and underscores our collective mission to cultivate the future generation of leaders. Harrow’s distinguished history in promoting character, leadership, and academic success will now inspire students in the UAE, enhancing the educational framework here,” he remarked.

The increasing demand for high-quality education in Dubai, driven by a continual influx of affluent families, positions Harrow Dubai as a pivotal addition to the city’s educational landscape.

“Harrow has long been acknowledged for its commitment to excellence, and through our collaboration with Harrow International Schools Limited, we aim to introduce the same values-driven education model in Dubai that has shaped numerous leaders,” commented Khalid Al Tayer, Chairman of Taaleem.

“This institution exemplifies our vision of creating a remarkable learning atmosphere that nurtures talent, creativity, and unparalleled opportunities across academics, athletics, the arts, and beyond. As Taaleem broadens its educational footprint, the opening of Harrow Dubai reaffirms our commitment to advancing the future of education in the UAE and the GCC,” he added.

“The inauguration of Harrow International School Dubai is a critical milestone in our initiative to provide more students in GCC regions access to a Harrow education. Harrow Dubai will maintain the premier standards of a Harrow education while addressing the diverse needs of a new and dynamic community,” said Mel Mrowiec, chairman of Harrow International Schools Limited.

“Our collaboration with Taaleem is founded on a mutual vision — to nurture tomorrow’s leaders by providing outstanding educational experiences tailored to equip young individuals for the complexities of an interconnected world,” she remarked.

Founded in 1572 under a Royal Charter from Queen Elizabeth I, Harrow School will deliver a prestigious British curriculum consistent with Harrow’s high standards, infused with the cultural values of the region. Harrow Dubai will also feature an enriched curriculum that incorporates top-notch sports, performing arts, and leadership development programs, ensuring a truly holistic educational experience.
