Freedom “Closes” the Acropolis

The Acropolis in Athens was closed yesterday during the hottest hours of the day, as announced by the Greek Ministry of Culture due to the extreme heat affecting Greece, with temperatures reaching 42 degrees Celsius in some areas.

The ministry noted that visitors would be unable to access the historic site, a significant landmark from ancient Greece, between 1 PM and 5 PM. The Acropolis stands as the most popular tourist destination in Greece.
