The Ministry of Health in Uganda announced on Saturday the conclusion of the most recent wave of the Ebola outbreak in the country, following three months since authorities confirmed the presence of cases in the capital, Kampala.
The East African nation reported an outbreak of the disease, which often leads to life-threatening hemorrhage, in January after the death of a nurse at a hospital in Kampala.
Ebola symptoms include fever, headache, and muscle aches. The virus is transmitted through contact with the bodily fluids and tissues of an infected individual.
