Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced the establishment of the inaugural Dubai Student Council for the academic year 2025/2026, consisting of 16 students from 16 private schools in Dubai. This council represents the voices of approximately 400,000 students within the private education system in the emirate.
During its inaugural meeting, attended by Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of the Dubai Executive Council, and Aisha Abdulla Miran, General Director of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan presented the council members with a copy of “Lessons from Life” by Mohammed bin Rashid. He also shared a personal and motivational message with the students.
The council includes students from grades nine to twelve, or their equivalents, from various accredited educational curricula in Dubai, ensuring genuine representation of the interests of nearly 400,000 students in the private education sector.
The formation of this council is part of the “Leaders of Tomorrow” initiative, which is aligned with the emirate’s 2033 education strategy.
