Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth’s Heartwarming Moments from Annaprashan Celebration

Ishita Dutta, a well-known actress recognized for her role in the film Drishyam, recently shared a delightful moment from her daughter’s Annaprashan ceremony. Celebrated for their vibrant screen presence, Ishita and her husband, actor Vatsal Sheth, marked a significant milestone for their family with this traditional event.

On December 28, 2025, Ishita took to Instagram to post photos showcasing the special occasion, where their daughter Veda had her first taste of solid food—rice. The event, which holds cultural significance in various Indian communities, was characterized by family gatherings, warmth, and joy. Dressed elegantly in a saree, Ishita presented a picture of grace while Vatsal and their son Vaayu complemented her attire in matching yellow kurtas and white pajamas. Veda was adorably dressed in a red-and-white lehenga, embodying the festive spirit of the ceremony.

Through her post, Ishita captured the essence of the day, writing: “Veda’s first taste of rice, wrapped in blessings, love, and tradition.” Alongside this heartfelt message, she expressed gratitude to a local brand for providing beautiful clothing for Veda.

The glimpse of their family together was both touching and personal, featuring an intimate shot where Vatsal held Vaayu while Ishita cradled Veda. The collection included candid moments from the ceremony, highlighting the close bonds shared with relatives. Remarkably, Veda’s face was kept out of view in all photographs, preserving a sense of privacy for the family.

Ishita and Vatsal have maintained a loving partnership for over eight years. Their story began on the set of the television series Rishton Ka Saudagar- Baazigar in 2016. Their friendship blossomed, leading to marriage in 2017. In July 2023, they became parents for the first time with the birth of their son, Vaayu. The couple welcomed their daughter, Veda, in 2025, marking another joyful chapter in their lives.

In celebration of their eighth wedding anniversary, Ishita shared a nostalgic wedding photograph along with a heartfelt note. She penned, “Happy Anniversary, Vatty. Eight years, two beautiful babies… And a lifetime of love to go. Us, always and forever,” reflecting on the journey they have taken together.

Ishita Dutta has carved a niche in the entertainment industry, with her recent work including the film De De Pyaar De 2, where she played the daughter-in-law of actors R. Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor. Starting her career in television, Ishita gained immense popularity through her notable performances in Drishyam and its sequel, Drishyam 2. Meanwhile, Vatsal Sheth, who began as a child actor, has appeared in various successful projects such as Just Mohabbat and Ek Hasina Thi, and has also dabbled in reality television and hosting.
