Islamic Education Exam Brings Joy to Twelfth Graders

Students in the 12th grade across all streams—general, advanced, and elite—sat for their Islamic Education exam yesterday, marking the third stage of their year-end assessments. Test questions were diverse and directly aligned with the curriculum, focusing on skills measurement as well as understanding and memorization abilities.

Students expressed that the exam questions were manageable and well within their grasp, as they derived from the course material and the established exam structure. They affirmed that the allotted time was sufficient for tackling all 25 questions, which were centered around the content taught during the third semester.

The questions varied in difficulty, catering to both straightforward tasks and those requiring memorization skills; however, the overall content of the test was direct, reflecting students’ different learning levels. Some students reported completing their answers in half the allotted time.

Similarly, 12th-grade female students from various public schools expressed satisfaction with the Islamic Education exam level. They praised the clarity and straightforwardness of the questions, which considered individual differences among students, contributing to their confidence and calm during the session. The exam was computer-based and took place from 12 PM to 2 PM, conducted in a well-organized, serene environment that facilitated concentration and smooth interaction with the digital platform.

Maryam Al-Raisi, a general stream student, noted that the questions comprehensively covered the curriculum, emphasizing understanding and analysis. She managed to answer all the questions easily and in record time.

Aisha Talib remarked that the exam featured a balanced distribution of questions closely connected to what was reviewed in class, strengthening students’ feelings of readiness.

Noura Bahadur mentioned that the electronic format of the exam matched the subject’s nature and confirmed that the available time was adequate for answering and reviewing all questions.

In the same vein, advanced stream students expressed their contentment with the exam level. Fatima Bin Sultan shared that the exam met students’ expectations, with no complexity or ambiguity involved.

Shama Hassan noted that the questions focused on key concepts derived from the curriculum, simplifying the answering process and reducing anxiety, adding that the Islamic Education exam was the easiest so far.

School administrators reported that students approached the exam with confidence and composure, and the examination boards executed their duties impeccably without any organizational breaches. They received no complaints regarding the Islamic Education exam, with all questions suitable for the average student’s understanding, and there were no technical issues affecting any candidates.

Moreover, the approved academic calendar for the 2024-2025 school year specifies that results will be announced between June 30 and July 2, with makeup exams scheduled from July 4 to July 10. The final results for these makeup exams are set to be revealed on July 14.

According to the educational system, a student who does not achieve the minimum passing score in any subject within Group A has one opportunity to retake the exam before the academic year concludes. A minimum score of 60 is required to pass the makeup exam. Even if a student’s score exceeds 60, promotion to the next grade is contingent upon successfully passing all subjects in Group A. Should a student fail any subject after the retake exam, they must repeat the grade.
