Israeli Defense Forces announced today that they carried out strikes on numerous military targets in Iran overnight, including an attack on the Defense Innovation and Research Organization, which they claim is involved in nuclear weapons development.
The Israeli military also reported that rockets were launched from Iran towards Israel, activating air raid sirens in several Israeli regions, according to international media outlets.
They stated that their air defense system intercepted a series of drone attacks launched by Iran, successfully neutralizing three drones over the Dead Sea.
Earlier, Iranian media indicated that their air defenses engaged “hostile targets” in northern Tehran, reporting explosions in an industrial area in Rasht. This defensive response was initiated after the Israeli military previously issued evacuation warnings to residents in the industrial zone of the Iranian village of Kolesh Talashan.
On Thursday, Israel targeted nuclear facilities in Iran, while Iran responded by launching missiles and drones at Israel, amid escalating tensions between the two nations.
