Israeli Military Announces Strike on Research Facility in Tehran

The Israeli military announced on Friday that it conducted overnight strikes on numerous targets in Tehran, particularly a facility described as a center for the development of Iran’s nuclear weapons program, on the eighth day of conflict between Iran and Israel.

In a statement, the military reported that it launched a series of attacks in central Tehran, targeting dozens of sites, including military missile production locations and the headquarters of the Defense Innovation and Research Organization, which is responsible for advancing Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

The military clarified that this organization is tasked with “developing advanced technologies and weaponry that bolster the military capabilities of the Iranian regime.”

Additionally, the military mentioned that it targeted “facilities involved in the production of missile components and factories that manufacture raw materials used in rocket engine construction.”

Furthermore, the statement noted that air defense systems intercepted four drones launched from Iran.
