The Honorable Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Justice, engaged in discussions with a delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, led by Jo Didiin Aman, the UN Secretary for the Prevention of Crime and Criminal Justice. This meeting focused on coordinating efforts for the upcoming 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which is scheduled to take place in April 2026 in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting occurred in the Minister’s office at the Ministry headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Minister Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts and strengthening partnerships to address various forms of organized crime and combat drug-related issues in accordance with international standards while fully respecting human rights principles. Present at the meeting was Judge Hatem Fouad Ali, the representative of the UN Deputy Secretary-General and the Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime for the Gulf Cooperation Council member states.
