Krystle D’Souza Responds to Trolls Comparing Her to Ayesha Khan in ‘Shararat’

Ranveer Singh’s recent film, Dhurandhar, has generated significant buzz, especially after surpassing the Rs. 1000 crore mark worldwide. The film has sparked conversations among viewers, particularly regarding Akshaye Khanna’s performance and the catchy song, Shararat, featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza. The social media discourse has included comparisons between the two dancers, prompting Krystle to respond to the criticism.

In a recent interview with News18, Krystle D’Souza addressed the ongoing debate about her performance in Shararat. As the song garnered attention, some users suggested that Ayesha Khan outperformed her. Krystle emphasized that the song was a celebratory collaboration among four women, advocating for viewers to enjoy the music rather than engage in comparisons. She expressed disappointment in how praise for one dancer often comes at the expense of another.

Krystle further elaborated on the hard work that went into creating the song, highlighting how negative comments can undermine the efforts of everyone involved. She asserted that if individuals have nothing positive to contribute, silence would be more beneficial. Promoting female solidarity, she remarked on the importance of women supporting each other in the industry, suggesting that criticism only detracts from collective progress.

Amidst the song’s popularity, there were claims that Tamannaah Bhatia was initially considered for the Shararat number. Reports indicated that the filmmakers opted for Ayesha and Krystle to prevent overshadowing a specific event. However, the choreographer clarified on social media that Tamannaah was never in the running due to the potential impact of her star power on the scene’s requirements.

The song Shararat features vocals from Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas and is composed by Shashwat Sachdev. Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, boasts a star-studded cast, including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sara Arjun. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to a sequel, set to be released in March 2026.
