Kylie Calls Out Media for Absurd Questions About Taylor and Travis Kelce

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar is currently celebrating the success of his latest release, “Dhurandhar The Revenge,” which has quickly become the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film in India. Before achieving this milestone, Dhar honed his skills as an assistant director under the mentorship of renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan. Dhar credits much of his growth to this experience and has expressed his admiration for Priyadarshan’s ability to nurture talent.

In an interview with India Today, Priyadarshan highlighted the importance of artistic courage among filmmakers. He contrasted Dhar’s bold approach to filmmaking with other directors, mentioning Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s work on “Animal.” Priyadarshan emphasized that genuine conviction can allow filmmakers to break conventional rules, stating, “No producer will ever allow you to make a four-hour film, but the conviction of the director is the ultimate thing.”

Dhar’s journey from assistant director to filmmaker is noteworthy. He began his career working alongside Priyadarshan on films like “Aakrosh” and “Tezz,” where he also contributed as a dialogue writer. Following the successful release of “Dhurandhar,” Priyadarshan congratulated Dhar, referring to him as his disciple and expressing joy at his rise in the industry. “There is no greater happiness than watching my disciple rise with such remarkable success,” Priyadarshan remarked.

“Dhurandhar The Revenge” has exceeded audience expectations since its release on March 19, 2023. The film has achieved remarkable box office success, surpassing ₹650 crore domestically and ₹1050 crore globally within just eight days. These figures place it as the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film, with the potential to outperform its predecessor, which earned over ₹1300 crore.

The film features Ranveer Singh in the lead, portraying a character who becomes a spy. It explores his journey through the political landscape and underworld of Pakistan while undertaking a mission to dismantle terror networks. The cast also includes notable actors such as Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, each playing significant roles that contribute to the film’s gripping narrative.

As “Dhurandhar The Revenge” continues to perform well at the box office, the anticipation for its sequel is already building among fans and industry professionals alike. Aditya Dhar’s trajectory as a filmmaker demonstrates his commitment to storytelling and innovation, setting a promising path for future projects.
