Media as a Strong Supporter of National Agricultural Initiatives

UAE entrepreneur Saeed Al-Rumaithi emphasized the critical role of the Arab Media Summit in supporting local entrepreneurs, particularly those in the agricultural sector, and stressed the need for increased media coverage of these initiatives.
Al-Rumaithi made these remarks during the panel discussion titled “New Opportunities in the Media Job Market,” hosted at the UAE University booth as part of the Arab Media Summit 2025.

He pointed out that social media serves as an effective platform to highlight the pioneering initiatives launched by the country, especially those aimed at encouraging Emirati youth to venture into agricultural investment.
According to Al-Rumaithi, modern media has evolved beyond being a mere tool for disseminating news; it has become a strategic partner in development. He called for its broader application in supporting the national economy and fostering a culture of agricultural entrepreneurship among young people.

Initiative
Al-Rumaithi showcased his agricultural project, which has transformed into a community initiative aimed at empowering and motivating families to grow their own food and promote home gardening culture. This is being achieved through informative and engaging content shared on social media platforms, with a primary goal of raising agricultural awareness in a practical manner that enables everyone to easily try gardening at home.

He noted that his passion for agriculture began with studying agricultural sciences and implementing them, which inspired him to convert this passion into a media message. By harnessing digital media to spread agricultural awareness, he enrolled in a new media college in Dubai, where he honed his content creation skills. This allowed him to simplify agricultural concepts and communicate them effectively to various audiences, particularly families. His educational content on the benefits of local organic farming has garnered over 15 million views, and he emphasizes empowering individuals to engage in home gardening and encouraging children to participate in this activity, contributing to the establishment of a new agricultural culture within the community.
