Mike Vrabel’s Counseling Choices Shift Following Surprising Airport Discovery

Bhooth Bangla, the latest horror-comedy film featuring Akshay Kumar, made its debut on April 17, marking a significant reunion between the actor and director Priyadarshan after a decade. Fans eagerly anticipated this collaboration, hoping the duo could recapture their previous box office success.

The film has made a strong entry into the market, grossing ₹12.25 crore on its opening day, according to updates from Sacnilk. With a total of 1.3 lakh tickets sold, the opening has surpassed initial expectations. Additionally, advanced bookings contributed ₹3.32 crore, reinforcing the film’s promising start. Previews added another ₹3.50 crore to its collection.

Currently, Bhooth Bangla’s total gross collection stands at approximately ₹18.90 crore, with a net total of ₹15.75 crore. This performance has outstripped the opening day earnings of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which earned ₹14.50 crore. It now seeks to make inroads into the records set by other horror-comedies, specifically Stree 2 and Thamma, which had opening day collections of ₹55 crore and ₹24 crore, respectively.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla features a notable cast alongside Akshay Kumar, including Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and Jisshu Sengupta. The film is produced by Akshay Kumar in association with Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films.

Speaking about the film, Priyadarshan addressed rumors regarding allegations of borrowing song lyrics from Satyajit Ray’s classic Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne. He clarified that the lyrics were original and tied to the film’s theme, stating that titles can often repeat over time in the industry.

Reviews highlight the nostalgic elements of Bhooth Bangla, noting that while the storyline may feel familiar, the film’s execution hinges on its ability to elicit laughter and chills. The cinematography by Divakar Mani captures the film’s rustic settings effectively, while the visual effects enhance the overall experience. These elements combine to bring the charm of previous Priyadarshan films into a new context.
